Explore your own sightings by date, species and month.
Add your sightings and explore them by month. Filter by species text to see when a particular animal appeared in your own records.
The calendar groups observations by their entered local date. Counts can include repeated individuals across visits and do not estimate a population. An empty day means no entry, not that wildlife was absent. CSV export includes the current month and species filter; changing the view does not delete entries.
Entered observation and deployment dates support 1900–2100. These tools use the local dates you enter; they do not infer time zones or submit records to a monitoring programme.
Instructions
- Enter Observation date, Local time, Species or description, Count and Site / general location.
- Select Add record for each observation. Add Notes to distinguish repeat visits.
- Choose View month and use Species contains to narrow the calendar.
- Use Export current view CSV, Download text or Print results for the records currently shown.
Understanding your results
The calendar groups entries by the local dates you supplied. Two visits that each record one fox do not necessarily represent two different foxes. An empty day only means you entered no record for that day.
What to do if an entry is missing from the calendar or export
Check View month and clear Species contains. Filters change the view without deleting your entries. Make sure the date was entered correctly. Export each view you need before relying on a downloaded file as a complete record.
Using this tool in your browser
These entries are handled in your browser. Saving is off by default; enable the storage checkbox to retain this tool’s records on this device. Other people using the same browser may see them. Clearing site data removes the saved copy. Export a separate backup before changing devices or resetting entries.
Summary
Use the calendar to explore patterns in your own sightings while keeping repeated observations in context.
